Graphite and chalk on toned pastel paper. This was a late assignment... mostly because I thought we had two weeks to work on it, and it turned out to be only one. I turned in my concept work and he said that was all I needed for the assignment, but I didn't feel right leaving it at that. So I finished this instead.
ANYwho... we're crossing animals together. I have a cat-fish (or a lion-fish if you'd rather) in the left, largest bubble. To the right is a caterpillar-bee-lion fish, and above them both is Ixi (from my pixie concepts). The other bubbles contain various pixies.
Oooh...you must have put a lot of work into this! I think the thing that makes me the happiest are those few little highlights on the bubbles. :3 Great picture!
I love all the detail you put into this, the caterpillar-bee-lion-fish looks awesome, although if I saw one in real life I might be a little less awestruck and bit more: run away!
Very nice

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Isn't combining animals fun!
Great work I love the detail and the way you presented this. The pencil adds a soft legendary feel to it.
