The Realms of Wicked Alchemy.

Two parts:
1. Create a character (from the races below).
2. Depict the Dream Realm in some way.

The purpose of this contest is to create a character from the Realm of Dreams in Wicked Alchemy. Entries will be judged both on the character created, and on some depiction of the realm (you can depict it in any way you see fit).

You don't have to read all the stories or descriptions to enter.

You don't have to know anything about Wicked Alchemy to enter.



First Place:

Your pictures will be placed on the Wicked Alchemy website, under the description of the race/sub-race you chose, with a link back to your website or deviantART page.




Mediums Accepted:
Any and all, including poetry and prose.

Poetry/Prose:
While I will accept these mediums, I don't want them to be terribly long. Please keep prose pieces to ten (10) pages maximum. The rules still apply -- at least one character must be created, and the realm itself must be depicted in some manner.

Restrictions:
You may submit up to two (2) entries.

Please don't use any creatures that might be found on the physical realm (normal animals, humans, etc). You may use elements from the physical realm (any sort of earth, fire, air, water, plants, etc.), but try to be creative and make them look like they belong on the dream realm, rather than earth.

All works must be made specifically for this competition. No entries before this date (03.07.08) will be accepted, and the entries must have something about Wicked Alchemy in the comments (these are WA races, so I hope you'll give WA credit for them).


Deadline:
Friday, August 1, 2008 at midnight EST.



The Dream Realm is a very simple concept. It's anything and everything you can dream. That's all you need to know. If you want more specific information, you're welcome to read below, but there's not much else to it!

Clothing?
The clothing is whatever you wish it to be. For that matter, everything can be what you want it to be -- there are no limits!! The only requirement for this contest is that you use one of the races listed.

Language?
If you're submitting a prose/poetry entry, you can assume anything you want about language. The races each have their own languages, but there's a "common" language among them. And for the purposes of human dreams, humans can understand fae in their dreams.

Using characters in the examples?
You're most welcome to use any of the characters I gave in my examples. If you want information about them, please ask, I'll be happy to tell you.

Backgrounds?
You don't have to include a background. You can indicate the dream realm in other ways -- such as clothes, items, other characters, etc. As long as the dream realm is indicated in some way, you are free to depict it however you want.
